We welcome you to Chestnut Class, the home of Year Six.

Teacher – Miss Osborne

In Year 6 we provide exciting but challenge driven learning, in which we aim to inspire & enthuse the children to deepen their knowledge and prepare each individual for life in senior school.

We embrace the National Curriculum and provide an enriched learning environment, with stimulating & differentiated learning activities meeting the abilities of all children. Lessons include; English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Art, Design Technology, Information & Communication Technology, Music, French, Religious Education, PSHE and Physical Education.   Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Our Topic

Topic provides children the opportunity to learn about the wider world and apply key skills within interesting collaborative projects and gain independent learning experiences.

In the Autumn Term, Year 6 will explore our new exciting topic ‘Swamps, Sunrises and Sacrifice’, whereby the children will learn about the fascinating and rich history of The Aztec’s.  We will discover a breadth of interesting facts, build upon our knowledge and learn about how even today we are influenced by this civilisation.
