The PTFA would like to thank all who supported the Summer Fayre last month by attending and for the generous donations. We can report an excellent profit of around £2000 but equally important was the terrific atmosphere helped along by England’s emphatic win, glorious weather and the return of the Haughton Giant Challenge cyclists.
Haughton Giant Challenge
We have received excellent feedback from competitors, particularly with regard to the route design through scenic Staffordshire countryside, many participants never realised existed. Our thanks go to Craig Wilson who cycled over 1000 miles to create it. It has been a learning curve to organise, but there seems to be much demand to run it again and we hope to grow the event to become an established part of the Midlands cycling calendar, whilst providing a regular income for the school. The inaugural event has raised over £1200 to be split with Air Ambulance.
Our thanks go to sponsors Befresh, Co-op, KOM Fuel, White Line Toilets, Fast Labels, Red Lion Farm, Littywood Fruit, Wells Farm Dairy, Vantage Consulting, NCA Embroidery, Mr Print It and Silver Pod Coffee for their generous support of these events.
