We are proud to offer a range of extra-curricular activities both during and outside of the school day.
Couch to 5k – Lunchtime Club
A lunchtime running club every Tuesday and Friday will be continuing after the October half term. The club will aim to complete the ‘Couch to 5k’ program before stretching legs to longer distances.
Children will need parental permission, as well as PE kit and a spare set of trainers (Not regular PE trainers as these may get a bit muddy). Please be aware that they will run at the start of the lunch hour and then have their dinner after the club approx. 15mins later. The club will go ahead unless the weather is particularly extreme.
Progressive Sports School Clubs
Progressive Sports are an external provider who work with us to offer a wide variety of new and exciting sports for pupil enjoyment and to enrich pupils’ physical development. They offer different clubs each half term, ranging from football and gymnastics to bubble sports and battlezone archery. Parents have the opportunity to use a quick and easy online booking system.
After School Clubs
Football on Mondays, 3:30 – 4:30pm for Years 1-6
KS2 Theatre club every Wednesday 3:30 – 4:30pm
At Haughton St. Giles, we offer a Friday morning choir club, which is run by one of our peripatetic music teachers. The choir offers the opportunity for children to develop their singing talents and music appreciation, whilst having fun.
The club starts at 8:30am at a cost of £1 per week, paid termly. Pupils are dismissed to go straight to classrooms to start their day at 9:00am.
