The school has a long tradition of musical activity, offering considerable opportunities for children to develop their talents in all aspects of music including composition, singing and appreciation.

Our visiting peripatetic teacher works with our KS2 pupils to teach the recorder and violin as we work towards music accreditation and also works with the whole school to develop their awareness of a wide variety of musical skills (pitch, rhythm, choral singing etc).

We also offer peripatetic guitar and flute lessons for those pupils who wish to participate.

Furthermore, we have a choir who regularly perform in the community, take part in singing festivals and who perform at school events.
