Haughton St Giles C.E. (C) Primary School offers an attractive and welcoming environment which aims to develop each child's full potential, promoting attitudes of mutual respect and responsibility. The School is a happy and secure environment in which each child can develop confidence, individuality, an inquiring mind and good learning habits. “Pupils are enthusiastic learners and enjoy school. They are well cared for and safe, and behave well in classrooms and around the school” (Ofsted 2012).
In addition to good personal development, our school enables children to achieve well academically. As our recent Ofsted report (October 2012) says “the attainment of pupils throughout the school is consistently above average in writing, reading and mathematics, and continues to rise” The school aims to serve its community by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practise. We are fortunate to be situated in a wonderful village environment having strong links with our small, friendly community, and especially close links with our parish church of St. Giles. No web-site can provide a complete picture and I would, therefore, like to extend a warm welcome to you to visit the school.
